The wheels are cool, but give me that in-ground lift!

I’ve used single-
and twin-post in-ground lifts (like this one), and two- and four-post above-
ground lifts. Give me above-ground every time. More control, greater ease-of-mind with the locking system, and less maintenance.

Mmm, my favorite style wheel for most newer cars, are they real CSL’s?

Negative, they are Apex ARC-8s. These are pretty much the default strong lightweight wheels for modern BMWs. Think of them as the Enkei RPF1 of the BMW world.
They’re 18x8.5” and weigh only ~18lbs, iirc, and are known to hold up well to track use/abuse.

Gotcha, I like that style of wheel more than the RPF-1's, not sure if it is the extra spokes or what not. Can’t wait for updated pictures!

That’ll be a couple of months. :P
Probably 2.5-3 months until winter buggers off enough for me to put them on and start driving the car regularly. I’ll get some new tires for them in the meantime, the R-comps on there now are toast.

Great choice! Apex wheels are the best. I have one of their old discontinued designs, the Aero-7. They are quite light and will make your car feel a whole lot quicker.

Thank you. I like the aero-7 as well, looks great with that lemans(?) blue and lowered ride. Are you running a staggered setup for those or square? My ARC-8s are 18x8.5 et45 square. I’m probably going to run 235/40R18 tires.
What suspension are you running? I’m thinking TC Kline or Ohlins R&T for mine. Also, who makes that lip kit? I wonder what it would look like on my non-Msport car.

The front lip is a carbon fibre one by kerscher. The side skirts are by an Australian company called flow design.
I run ST XTA coilovers which are basically a mashup of kW parts.
Wheels are staggered. Front 18x 8 et 45 (235 tyres) and rear is 18x9 et50 (255 tyres) . I ran 19x8 et40 wheels for a few years which looked great but still scraped after a lot of guard rolling, got tedious. These wheels are perfect.
